Welcome to the Ketola Reindeer Farm

Visit us and the reindeer and experience a little piece of Sámi reindeer herder´s day! We can take you to our farm near the village of Karesuvanto in the middle of the reindeer herd. We will tell you about Sámi reindeer husbandry while enjoying a cup of coffee in a traditional lávvu (teepee). Come and experience a unique moment surrounded by reindeer, enjoying the peace and sounds of nature.

Do you want to experience something real and intensive in Lapland? Join us on the reindeer fence! Hop on a sleigh and we'll take you to the middle of a hundred-headed herd of reindeer in the middle of the forest. You get to observe the reindeer up close and you can feed them. Take pictures and enjoy the sounds and silence of nature. In the dark time, if the weather is clear, the conditions for seeing the Northern Lights are favourable.

We want to offer you a unique experience as our guest. We make coffee in a traditional lávvu (teepee) and taste local delicacies. We will tell you about reindeer husbandry, our family's life, culture and traditions. 

Visiting reindeer

• The visit is private, for 1-4 people
• Duration approx. 2,5 hours
• Sleigh transport to the fence approx. 3 km direction
• The visit includes a hot drink and snacks

Reservations

We are located in Karesuvanto, Enontekiö Lapland. We are here with our reindeer only part of the year in early spring. We offer visits seasonally from December/January to April when we arrive to Karesuvanto with our reindeer. Our reindeer farm operates on the terms of reindeer and reindeer husbandry. Please confirm a suitable time for your visit by email!
